About this tour: Levada Walk - Vereda do Larano
This hike starts in Larano, Porto da Cruz and extends along 5km of the north slope of the island with a fabulous view of the sea from the north coast and where you can even see Porto Santo, if the time permitting.
In the past, this trail was used for some trade between Machico and Porto da Cruz. Arriving at the Boca do Risco viewpoint there is time for a break and to enjoy the landscapes.
On the way back, we have the background of Penha d´águia and the village of Porto da Cruz, where you can take photos worthy of albums.
It is advisable to wear suitable footwear as the track at certain times of the year can be slippery.
